Pure steam and clean steam are often used interchangeably in the pharmaceutical industry. However, not all equipment marketed as clean steam generators is up to producing WFI-quality pharmaceutical pure steam. Paul Mueller Company pure steam generators use a tangential nozzle to separate impurities from incoming feedwater, producing pyrogen-free steam that, when condensed, meets USP requirements for water for injection.

When used with a PyroPure® pure steam generator or when fed WFI-quality clean steam or pure steam from another source, the water produced will be pyrogen-free. It will meet or exceed the latest specifications of the USP for water-for-injection (WFI). The optional stand-alone design for the condensing system allows it to be installed adjacent to a clean steam generator or pure steam generator or located remotely at the point of use.
