The Energy Recovery Bank Assemblies are constructed with multiple Temp-Plate panels that are all installed on common supply and return manifolds to simplify piping. The exact panel size, panel spacing, material thicknesses, and heat recovery capacity is all dependent upon the energy available in the air stream. How Does Energy Recovery Work?

Temp-Plate Energy Recovery Bank Assemblies function as condensing economizers. Hot exhaust air flows through the ductwork surrounding the Temp-Plate bank, passing between the plates. As water or glycol circulates inside the Temp-Plate panels, it absorbs heat from the exhaust air. Once the exhaust air reaches its dew point, moisture begins to condense out of the air, flowing down the external surface of the panels. This condensation process significantly boosts heat transfer efficiency—sometimes up to ten times greater than with dry air.
